Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and delegates to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) conference are scheduled to visit Nusa Penida island, some 90 nautical miles southeast of Bali, on Monday.
The president and the delegates will observe pollution-free tourism objects such as wind power plants and environment friendly electricity installations of the state-owned electricity company PLN.
According to the committee, the tour of the island would take three hours (about half-an hour will be spent on the way) using motor vessels and speedboats from the Sanur Beach, Denpasar (Capital province of Bali).
Some of the delegates who are attending the on-going international conference on climate change which will last until December 14, 2007, have been visiting Nusa Penida island since Saturday.
