More than 200 foreign tourists boarding American cruise ship Spirit of the Adventure enjoyed sightseeing on the island using pedicabs during a stop in Ambon.
The ship arrived at Yos Sudarso Port, Ambon, on Wednesday morning and was welcomed by Ambon Mayor Richard Louhenapessy, kompas.com reported Thursday.
The passengers made use of their seven-hour transit, enjoying the city using 70 pedicabs, provided by the Ambon city administration, to visit a number of tourist spots such as the World Peace Gong Monument, Victoria Fort, Joseph Kam Church, Pattimura Park and Al-Fatah Mosque.
The tourists from the US, Canada and Australia were also visiting clove and sago processing cottages at Suli Village and a bambu gila (crazy bamboo) performance in Liang Beach
