The unique and exciting Fremantle to Bali Race and Rally with its Indian Ocean flavour links the historic port of Fremantle with the Indonesian Archipelago and exotic Bali through a dazzling blue water yacht race offering fair breezes and warm friendships. Western Australia’s only international yacht race, established 1981.

The biennial Wonderful Indonesia Fremantle to Bali Race and Rally will set sail on May 4, 2013 and is on track to attract the largest field of competitors and recreational sailors in its 31-year history with organizers encouraging local, Australian and international skippers and crews to sign up.The event is aiming to attract a fleet of 50 or more ocean-going yachts for the run up to the Island of the Gods.

At 1440 nautical miles, Fremantle to Bali is Western Australia’s only international yacht race and one of Australia's most exciting and alluring blue water races.

This year’s race theme is Fair Breezes, Warm Friendship with the event not only being a major sporting and leisure exercise, but a powerful good will gesture between the people of Indonesia and Western Australia.

Beyond Bali: Cruise of a lifetime.

The FSC encourages race and rally participants to remain in Indonesia after the race for the Beyond Bali cruising component. It’s a chance for sailors to embark on great adventures in Indonesia with its more than 17,500 islands and welcoming people, cultures and exotic locations to get to know.

The cruising in the archipelago is considered among the best in the world with thousands of islands, the world’s best diving and boasting more species of coral than the Great Barrier Reef.

Race committee member, Ralph Newton, who will be participating in the event on his yacht Yandanooka, developed the Beyond Bali program. He has prepared a spreadsheet of the route for the 2013 cruise and a link to the information is available on the Beyond Bali section of the site or by clicking here
