The State News Agency Antara and Beritabali.com report that Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport has been ranked #3 within its category in an Airport Service Quality Survey (ASQ) conducted by Airport Council International (ACI).
The ranking covering Q1 of 2015 saw Bali’s air gateway ranked 3rd worldwide among airports serving between 15 and 25 million passengers annually.
The same survey covering Q4 of 2014 saw Ngurah Rai ranked as #7 within the same category of airports.
The category for between 15 and 25 million tourists per year reviews a total of 30 airports internationally.
In winning #3 Bali managed to rank higher than Kansai Airport in Japan, Auckland Airport in New Zealand, San Diego (USA), Helsinki-Vantaa in Finland and Brisbane Airport in Australia.
Winning the #1 and #2 slots ahead of Bali’s airport were, respectively, Gimpo Airport in Seoul, South Korea and Wuhan Tianhe in China.
