St. Regis Bali Resort and The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa Win Honors from Wine Spectator Magazine

The St. Regis Bali Resort has won honors in the 2015 ‘Best of Award of Excellence’ by Wine Spectator magazine for a fifth consecutive year, making it the first restaurant in Indonesia to earn such recognition. The win also celebrates St. Regis’ chief sommelier Harald Wiesmann’s singular commitment to continually bringing a world-class wine experience into the small island of Bali.

Adding to the moment, The St. Regis’ sister hotel at Nusa Dua - The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali was also awarded a prestigious ‘Award of Excellence’ from the Wine Spectator for its upscale seafood beachfront restaurant Arwana. This is Arwana’s fourth ‘Award of Excellence’ win, further acknowledging its reputation for providing guests and visitors with a world-class wine and dining experience in Bali.

Wine Spectator, launched in 1996, is a recognized authority on wine service and fine dining. Its respected lists cite restaurants around the globe whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine connoisseurs. Based on these basic requirements, Wine Spectator honorees are eligible for one of three distinctions: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence and Grand Award.

Since The St. Regis Bali Resort first opened its door in 2009, Kayuputi has received multiple awards. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers Asian-inspired Haute Cuisine and a two-storey wine cellar complimented by magnificent views of the Indian Ocean.

Down the beach at The Laguna, A Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Nusa Dua, the Arwana is known as one of Bali’s best beachfront dining venues, offering guests premium coastal cuisine, with its fresh daily catch selection, Arwana prides itself with an extensive wine list selected by first sommelier Yudhi Suryawan.
