Marketing guru Philip Kotler has been officially chosen as the ambassador for “Wonderful Indonesia”.
He will endorse and promote tourism in the archipelago around the world.
According to Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, Kotler was a true ambassador for Indonesia because he had started promoting the country’s tourist sector a few years ago.
“On behalf of the Indonesian government, I appreciate your hard efforts to promote Indonesia as a tourist destination, especially in promoting Komodo Island to the city of Chicago,” said Arief in Jakarta as quoted by Antara news agency.
Arief also asked Kotler to promote the Wonderful Indonesia brand when he spoke at global conferences or when visited foreign countries. (Antara)
