The main stage that will host musical performances throughout the four-daySVF event will continue the tradition of hosting top-name entertainers.
Among those confirmed to perform are the internationally renowned jazz pianist and vocalist Indra Lesmana and Bali’s own guitar-phenom Dewa Budjana. Combining their musical talents under the branding of the “Indra Lesmana-Dewa Budjana Project” the public will be entertained by this duo and their backing bands on August 24, 2016.
Joining them on stage will be Penggal Men Mersi – a musical legend in his own right who will bring a range of traditional Indonesian instruments to combine with the contemporary styling of Lesmana and Budjana.
Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, also known as Gusde, who heads the Yayasan Pembangun Sanur and organizes the SVF, said: “These musicians are symbols of modern and traditional music; East meets west. Indra Lesmana and Dewa Budjana are acknowledged internationally. They will work together with Penggak Men Mersi who plays traditional music. I am sure (the results) will be spectacular.”
Also slated to appear is jazz singer Eva Celia, the daughter of Indra Lesmana. Also entertaining will be Barasuara, Rio Sidik Quintet featuring Dias, Sandhy Sondoro featuring Mostly Jazz Group, Glenn Fredly and The Bakuucakar.
