COMO Uma Canggu to Open in February 2018

Bali Property will be the 14th COMO Property Worldwide and First Seaside Resort Among 3 Island Properties
Como Hotels and Resorts will open its newest Bali property in February 2018 when COMO Uma Canggu welcomes its first guest.

Located on the southwest coast of Bali, the Como Uma Canggu will join two existing Como properties: Como Uma Ubud and Como Shambhala Estate - both located in Ubud, Central Bali. The newest Como property will be the first Bali seaside property operated by the luxury boutique property group.

At COMO Uma Canggu, guests will find the resort and its activities focused on the beach, sea and the surrounding Balinese culture, Hindu temples, shops, and local warungs. Many areas of Canggu have retained their local rice paddies as part of the natural landscape against a backdrop of some of Bali’s best surf breaks located directly in front of the resort.

Only 11 kilometers from the busy shopping-dining-night life attractions of Seminyak, COMO Uma Canggu feels a world apart from Bali’s busiest area with its emphasis on active living and healthy eating. The Resort has 119 contemporary rooms, suites, one - and two bedroom residences, as well as three - bedroom duplex penthouses featuring individual rooftop pools.

The aesthetic breaks new ground for beachside Bali, combining modern Asian and Italian touches created by interior designers Koichiro Ikebuchi and Paol a Navone.

World-class dining will be available at the social heart of the resort - COMO Beach Club. Menus will rely on locally sourced ingredients from across the island, with a focus on ‘New World cuisine’.

Those seeking wellness will be catered for at the new COMO Shambhala Retreat, with seven treatments rooms (five single and two double). There will also be yoga and Pilates classes available for hotel guests and the local community, as well as personal training in the gym.

A major aspect of the COMO Uma Canggu will be the readily available surf opportunities just off shore.

COMO Uma Canggu will also offer guests a range of cultural and adventure activities, including guided temple visits by the sea, jungle trekking, canoeing expeditions and traditional village walks.

The COMO Uma Canggu is the 14th hotel opened by the COMO group worldwide.

Javier Beneyto has been named as the appointed pre - opening general manager of COMO Uma Canggu following his role in the successful opening of COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach three years ago.
