Korea to open tourism office in Indonesia

“We have beautiful landscapes, fascinating historical monuments and dynamic entertainment places. Korea is also a shoppers’ paradise. We have everything to make your stay in Korea comfortable,” Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) president Charm Lee told The Jakarta Post recently in Seoul.
Korea launched the Visit Korea 2010-2012 campaign last year to boost its tourism industry.
“We have not been on the map of global tourism until recently. Now we are ready to promote Korea on a global scale. As part of this we will be opening our first office in Jakarta on June 22, 2011.”

Around 95,000 Indonesians, Lee said, visited Korea last year.
Korea received 8.8 million foreign tourists, mainly from Japan, China and Taiwan, in 2010.
