PT Intiland Development Tbk, through its subsidiary PT Intiwhiz International, opened Grand Whiz Kuta hotel in Bali on Monday as part of its business development strategy.
Intiwhiz International president director and CEO Moedjianto Soesilo Tjahjono attributed the opening of Grand Whiz Kuta hotel to growing hospitality business prospects in Bali.
He said the company would also open other hotels in two other tourist areas in Bali, including in Legian and Nusa Dua.
“Bali Central Statistic Agency [BPS] recorded the number of passengers who pass Ngurah Rai airport reached more than 3.54 million people in the first six months of this year,” Moedjianto said Monday as quoted by kompas.com. “It is a 15-percent increase from 3.08 million people during the same period last year.”
Despite tight competition, the potential market had increased significantly from year to year, he added.
Moedjianto added that the company would also open hotels in Medan, Pekanbaru, Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Surabaya, Malang, Palangkaraya, Balikpapan, Manado and Makasar
