A batik exhibition displaying batik clothes from various Indonesian regions such as Java and Papua is being organized at the industry ministry building on Gatot Subroto street here from April 23 to 26, 2013.
"The batik expo is being participated in by batik producers grouped in the Indonesian Batik Foundation from West Java, East Java, Yogyakarta and Papua," Euis Saedah, the industry ministry`s director general for small-and-medium scale industry, said here on Tuesday.
Officially opened by Industry Minister MS Hidayat, the batik expo is part of a series of batik exhibition events which will include Nusantara Batik Expo to be held at the Jakarta Convention Center, July 17-21, 2013.
