A number of 123 companies from nine countries are taking part in a three-day maritime industry exhibition "Imamarine 2015" to end in Batam on Saturday (October 3).
The companies operate in maritime industry and maritime related industries including welding and electronic industries.
The exhibition will promote Batam as a maritime city and as a potential place for investment, head of BP Batam Mustofa Widjaja said here on Friday.
The countries taking part in the exhibition include Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Thailand, South Korea, Britain, Hong Kong and the United States.
The exhibition is organized by the Industry Ministry and the Riau Island regional administration to promote maritime industry in the country especially in Batam. (Antara)
