Garuda Indonesia will open a new flight route connecting the enchanting island of Bali direct with the city of Guangzhou in China. Using Boeing 737-800 NG carrier, the inaugural flight is scheduled to take place on 22nd November 2015 from the Ngurah Rai International Airport of Bali. The flight is scheduled to leave Bali Airport at 23.45 Central Indonesia Time and arrive in Guangzhou at 05.00 local time.
General Manager Garuda Indonesia Bali Branch, Syamsudidn Jusuf Souib on Friday 20th November 2015 informed the press that the Guangzhou flight to Bali will be served three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Using Boeing 737-800 NG planes, the aircraft has a total capacity for 12 passengers in Business class and 150 in Economy.
While the Bali to Guangzhou route will also be served three times week ly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. “The opening of the Bali-Guangzhou Route is part of Garuda Indonesia’s strategy to expand its market share in China. Today Garuda already serves direct flights from Jakarta-Guangzhou, Jakarta-Beijing, Jakarta-Shanghai, and Bali-Beijing” said Syamsudin Jusuf Soib as reported by kompas.com.
Syamsuddin further explained that the Chinese market to Indonesia is very promising with the potential outbound market of about 100 million tourists per year. With the opening of the new route, the number of tourists from China to Bali is also projected to increase, since it will be easier and faster for Chinese tourists to reach Bali.(Indonesia.travel)
