Russian tourist reportedly missing in Mount Agung, Bali

A Russian tourist, identified merely as Ildar, has reportedly gone missing while climbing Mount Agung in the Bali Provincial District of Karangasem, a spokesman for the rescuers stated.

"The (Russian) visitor was climbing Mount Agung alone," a staff member of the rescuers public relations, Amtarama said on Thursday.

Ildar (38) started climbing Mount Agung, which is 3,142 meters above sea level on Sunday (March 6), the spokesman noted, adding that the visitor allegedly went astray in the highest mountain of the Bali Island.

The rescue workers have started searching for the Russian visitor, Amtarama pointed out. (Antara)
