Bali by the Numbers: BPS Says 43.3% More Foreign Visitors to Bali in August 2016

The State News Agency Antara quotes the Central Statistic Bureau (BPS), reporting that the average length of stay in starred hotels in Bali for both domestic and international visitors was 3.05 days in August 2016.

This represents a 0.04% increase from the 3.01 days length of stay recorded in the previous month of July 2016.

Broken down further, foreign visitors stayed 3.06 days in starred hotels in August compared to domestic travelers who stayed only 3.01 days.

Bali welcomed 438.135 foreign tourists in August 2016 – 437,929 via the Ngurah Rai International Airport and 206 via the Island’s seaports. 

This total represents a 44.30% increase over August 2015 and brought total visitors January – August to more than 3 million.
