The ministry's division 1 deputy of marketing development, I Gde Pitana, said in a statement that the Bali promotion was part of the Visit Wonderful Indonesia (ViWI) 2018, a program initiated by tourism stakeholders and associations.
"ViWI 2018 aims to strengthen three important elements for tourists, namely accessibility, attractions and amenities," I Gde Pitana said, adding that the newly launched Hot Deals promotions featured these elements.
ViWI 2018 head Hariyadi BS Sukamdani, who was also present at the recent Hot Deals launch in Nusa Dua, Bali, said a total of 76 packages were offered.
"The duration, places and events in each package vary with the best prices and in the spirit of Hot Deals, which is 'less for more'," Hariyadi said.
The packages, which have been carefully arranged by travel agents, are available on websites Indonesia.travel and itx.co.id. Visitors are able to obtain the packages via each respective website, or by contacting the travel agents listed on the websites.
Similar Hot Deals have been launched by ViWI 2018, including Jakarta Weekend Hot Deals, Jakarta Ramadhan Hot Deals, Riau Islands Hot Deals and Middle East Hot Deals, aimed at attracting visitors from the Middle East. (JakartaPost)
