Operator of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (Ancol Dreamland Park), PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, offers alternative marine tourism including sailing trips to the Thousand Islands or Pulau Seribu in collaboration with the management of Augustine Phinisi.

The corporate’s marketing director, Febrina Intan, said that the trips on the traditional-style phinisi boat named Augustine Phinisi are expected to attract tourists visiting Ancol, Jakarta Bay, and the islands.

“This is a chance for the Thousand Islands to share their joy from generation to generation with Jakarta people and the world when the time comes,” said Febrina in Ancol, Tuesday, March 23.

Tourists can visit the islands from the Ancol area boarding a wooden liveaboard vessel traditionally made in Tanah Beru, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi. The 30-meter long vessel can accommodate 12 tourists, has four bedrooms, bathrooms, a dining room, a kitchen, and a vast area for relaxing.

Augustine Phinisi leans on Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, available for several trip packages such as a four-hour sailing in Jakarta Bay named Brunch trip and Sunset trip and One Day Trip. Tourists can also stay overnight onboard in 2D1N or 3D2N trips.

The trip packages start from Rp15 to 35 million per ten pax. People interested in taking the phinisi trip can make a reservation about one to two weeks before departure via https://www.augustinephinisi.com. (Tempo)
