PT Nusa Dua Indonesia, a subsidiary of Kompas Gramedia Group, plans to develop a hotel, convention and exhibition hall named Santika Dyandra Makassar in Tanjung Bunga coastal area in South Sulawesi.
The hotel will be situated on a 3-hectare plot of land with development project to be kicked off in February 2012.
PT Nusa Dua Indonesia president director, Danny Budiharto, said Santika Dyandra Makassar was the fourth project after Gramedia Expo Surabaya, Nusa Dua Convention Centre Bali and Santika Dyandra Medan.
“Santika Dyandra Makassar will be the biggest project in Eastern Indonesia. It will have 22 stories with 375 hotel rooms and a 8000-square meter convention hall,” Danny said Friday as quoted by kompas.com.
He said the company would spend Rp 600 billion (US$65.93 million) of investment for the project.
“We choose to develop the biggest hotel and convention center in Makassar due to significant increase of meeting, incentives, convention, and exhibition in the region,” said Danny.
