A IDR15trn (US$1.3bn, €937m, £768m) project in the business district of Jakarta, Indonesia, – described by developers as a "megasuperblock of buildings" – is to feature a range of leisure and spa facilities.
The first cluster consists of an office tower, a 180-bedroom Raffles Hotel Jakarta and a 11,840 sq ft (1,100sq m) Raffles Spa, with both expected to open in 2017. There will also be retail space, an art museum, a 1,200-seat auditorium, Ascott serviced residences and a tower for apartments.
Construction on the Ciputra World Jakarta 2 began in 2012 and is expected to be complete by 2016. It will feature four towers used for office space, the W Hotel Jakarta – expected to include a spa – The Orchard Condominium and The Residences & Fraser Suites Serviced Apartments. Ciputra World Jakarta 3 is the next development, expected to provide meeting space, office and apartment towers but it is not yet known when this will be completed. (Spa business)
