The International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) is a sponsor of the world's first summer school on Green Growth and Travelism with a special focus on Climate Resilience.
This is part of a new series of events designed for our sector - communities, companies and social entrepreneurs - to plan for the coming changes in the travel and tourism marketplace.
We are offering 3 free scholarships for attendance at the school covering the course fee and accommodation. Applications (CV and motivation letter) must be sent to Marie-Julie Chaput at mjc@ictp.travel before June 27 to be reviewed by ICTP’s executive and advisory boards. The selected individuals will be then announced beginning of July.
The event is open to graduate students and managers in the industry and destinations. It has been designed as a highly interactive learning experience with a strong focus on the challenges and opportunities for decision makers.
Keynote speakers include Ignace Schops Director of Belgium’s National Park, Goldman Awardee, Ashoka and Al Gore Leadership Fellow; Geoffrey Lipman Former President WTTC & Assistant Secretary General UNWTO, Creative Disruption Architect Greenearth.travel; Geert Wets Head of Hasselt University Transportation Research Institute; Terry DeLacy Professor in Sustainable Tourism and Major Events at Victoria University Australia; Shaun Vorster Extraordinary Associate Professor at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa; Imtiaz Muqbil Editor Travel Impact Newswire, Asia Pacific and Valere Tjolle Editor Vision on Sustainable Tourism, UK, among others.
